The theme for this was my interpretation of “home”. I thought about doing physical places first. A wickiup, the woods, my grandparents home, my grandpa’s tipi. But then I was thinking about all the traveling I’ve been doing and that a lot of the time “home” can’t always be a place. In my piece I decided to go with what I associate the feeling of home with, and that’s my grandparents. The way I was able to see their relationship made me want that for myself too. To be anywhere with your person and know that as long as you were together, you were home.
